Bike Riding Americans Killed In Tajikistan

Bike Riders Attacked 4 killed

Richmond, VA (WRVA) - A group of Bicycle riders were attacked in the central Asia Country of Tajikistan. Authorities state that a vehicle drove into the group of bike riders on a Tajikistan highway. After the crash those in the vehicle jumped out and started attacking the group with knives. 4 people were killed and 2 wounded by the attack.

The 4 killed are 2 Americans, a Swiss citizen and a Dutch Citizen. The attack took place on a road in the Country’s Danghara community.  

Officials in Tajikistan state that 2 suspects have been eliminated.

Emomali Rahmon the President of Tajikistan sent a message of Condolences to President Trump That Reads:

“Your Excellency,

It was with deep sorrow and regret that we received the news of tragic death of the two United States citizens as a result of a vehicle running-down on a group of tourists – cyclists on one of the highways of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The relevant services of the country are taking all necessary measures to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of this cruel act.

I ask you, Your Excellency, to convey our deep condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the deceased”.

The incident remains under investigation.
