Charlottesville, Va. (1140wrva.com) -- Charottesville City Council voted again to change the name of two parks with Confederate statues. Councilors voted 4-1 to rename Emancipation Park as Market Street Park; until about a year ago it was Lee Park. And Justice Park, once known as Jackson Park, changing to Court Square Park.

The new names were among a list of suggestions when Councilors decided to rename the parks last June, as the city attempted to make amends for it's history of white supremacy and discrimination against blacks. The City Counil also voted to remove statues of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, which is being challenged in court.
