Gets Three Minutes And $750

North Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A North Chesterfield man, by virtue of his summer Mega Millions purchases, won the opportunity Thursday morning to run through a Midlothian Turnpike Kroger for three minutes, and spend $750 dollars in groceries.  Ed Barber says he didn't enter the contest expecting to win, but was pleasantly surprised by the opportunity.

Barber says his strategy was to focus on expensive, frozen food items, like meat and seafood.  He know figures he has at least enough to last him through the end of the year.  Barber also grabbed some soda, and finished the dash early, not realizing he actually had a few more seconds.    Barber grabbed close to $450 dollars in groceries, which actually went down to under $400 when he used his Kroger shopper's card.  Barber says he used the card to get the fuel discount.
