Richmond, Va. (newsradiowrva.com) -  The forecasted track for Hurricane Florence continues to improve for Richmond, although it is getting worse for North Carolina and South Carolina.  The storm models are now taking the storm west and south, which would limit many of the impacts on central Virginia.

NBC12 Meteorologist Andrew Freiden says we could still see some tropical storm-force wind gusts on Thursday into Friday.  However, his primary concern now is heavy rain and potential flooding.  While the storm is not likely to drop the 10 to 20 inches forecasted for Virginia earlier in the week, he says a few heavy downpours could give us several inches of rain and flash flooding.

Freiden points out there were flash flood warnings with just thunderstorms Tuesday night.
