Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Ralph Northam (D) has called a 2:30 news conference this afternoon to address a growing tide of calls for him to resign.  The calls began yesterday, after Northam admitted to a racist photo on his 1984 Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook page.  Northam issued a video statement last night in which he said he planned to serve out his term.

Earlier this morning, a small but noisy group of protestors rallied right outside the Governor's Mansion, yelling for him to leave.
