Chesterfield County, VA _  Chesterfield Chief Deputy Fire Marshall Sal Luciano says a woman was critically injured and three police officers treated for smoke inhalation following a 2-alarm fire at a county hotel.

Luciano says firemen received the call around 10:30 p.m. Sunday to the Interstate Inn on Indian Hill Road, along I-95 and arrived to find flames coming from the second floor of the hotel.  A second alarm was called once firefighters realized the number of units that needed to be evacuated.

It took crews about an hour to mark the fire under control.  Luciano says in addition to smoke inhalation the woman who was critically injured also suffered burn injuries.  The three injured police officers are expected to be okay.  No firemen were injured.

Luciano says 34 people were displaced by the fire and were being assisted by hotel management.  There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
