Attorney Assault Apparently NOT Tied To Work

Chesterfield Police Still Investigating

August 10, 2019 - 2:30 pm

Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police say they continue to investigate the assault of an attorney along Krause Road Wednesday evening.  The assault led to increased security at the Chesterfield Courthouse, as well as, reportedly, for judges and another attorney.  However, Chesterfield Police now say the assault does not appear to be tied to the attorney's work.

Police issued this Press Release:  "Police are continuing to investigate an aggravated assault that occurred in the 10100 block of Krause Road on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.   At about 6:00 p.m. on August 7, Chesterfield County Police responded to an office building on Krause Road for a report of an adult male who had been found on the floor with significant injuries to his face. The victim, a local attorney, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  His status has been upgraded to critical but stable. At this point in the investigation, it does not appear that the victim was targeted due to his employment status as a lawyer.  Police still do not have a suspect description.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660 or through the p3 app."
