Chase Ends With Crash on I-64 West In Short Pump

Short Pump, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Police confirm one suspect has been killed in a crash that ended a pursuit, that began Thursday morning following a bank robbery in Chesterfield.  State Police say at approximately 10 a.m.,  they received a description of a suspect vehicle being sought by Chesterfield County Police. State police located the vehicle at approximately 10:10 a.m. on the Downtown Expressway/I-195 in the City of Richmond and continued with the pursuit. The pursuit continued onto I-64  heading west in Henrico County.  Then, they say mear Exit 175 in Henrico County, the Nissan ran off the left side of the interstate  and overturned several times before coming to rest in the median

One of the vehicle's occupants was ejected from the vehicle. Henrico Police Department immediately began administering CPR until medical crews arrived on scene, but the adult male died at the scene.

A second adult male was transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. 

Chesterfield Police say the incident began after they responded to an alarm at a Wells Fargo along Hull Street.  They pursued the vehicle into the city, where they lost it and State Police became involved.
