Jury says life sentence for James Alex Fields Jr

Charlottesville jury suggests prison time & fines

Richmond, VA (WRVA) 

The Charlottesville jury in the James Alex Fields Jr trial has made its recommendations for his sentencing.

The Jury made the following decisions: He should serve a life sentence for the first-degree murder of 32 year old Heather Heyer and pay a fine of $100,000;

In each of the 5 charges of aggravated malicious wounding they recommended sentences of 70 years and fines of $70,000;

20 years and fines of $10,000 for each of the three charges of malicious wounding;

and finally the jury recommended an additional sentence of 9 years for the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
