Two Texas Men Arrested With Two Pounds of Meth

Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police have arrested two Texas men for allegedly distributing  methamphetamine in the county.  Crinmli Castaneda-Alcaraz, 21, of Dallas, Texas, and Brandon Alexis Hernandez, 18, of Houston, Texas, were arrested December 21st, after being found, according to police, with two pounds of the drug along Hull Street Road.  Police say the men were arrested after removing a package from their car, which turned out to be the drugs.  

Castaneda-Alcaraz and Hernandez have been charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, importation of controlled substances into the Commonwealth of Virginia, and conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act of Virginia. Both men are being held in the Chesterfield County Jail pending a court appearance. Immigration detainers were also placed on both men, whom police say were determined to be in the United States illegally. 

Officers are continuing to investigate.
