4 Year Old Killed In Chesterfield Hit & Run

Driver Fled Scene Leaving 4 People Needing Help

Richmond, VA. (WRVA) - Chesterfield County Police have arrested a man in relation to a deadly hit and run.

Police say the incident occurred Saturday (8/25/18) around 4:55 p.m. at the intersection of Belmont Road and Sue Jean Drive. Officers investigating the event state a 2011 a Dodge Ram Pickup Truck struck a 2000 Toyota Camry. The driver of the Dodge Pickup fled the scene after the crash.

A 4 year old boy who was riding in the Toyota died as a result of the crash. Other occupants of the Camry a 26 year old male, a 24 year old female and a 7 year old male were rushed to the hospital with serious to life threatening injuries. 

Police located the Dodge Pickup and have indentified its driver at the time of the crash as 28 year old Edilberto Hernandez-Perez of the 4100 block of Lamplighter Court in Chesterfield County. Hernandez-Perez is facing multiple charges and is being held in the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
