Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield County Schools are slowly beginning to return students to the school buildings.  The district, at its meetings today, announcing that students with disabilities will return to the classroom September 29th.  The decision comes despite the fact the district's own presentation notes that there has been a recent upward trend in Covid cases, and there remains substantial community transmission.

If the timeline continues, the youngest elementary school kids would then return in mid-October, and the earliest you could see all grade levels in the building would be November 9th.   In any timeline, the return would only be for a few days a week.

The district would still allow kids to learn fully virtual if they chose.
