Expected to Be Multi-Day Event

(RICHMOND, Va.) WRVA -- Now that Isaais is out of the area, the power restoration part of the storm is underway. In the Richmond area, the peak of outages was around 28,000.

Dominion Energy spokeman Jeremy Slayton says that the effort to restore power will be a multi-day event. He says that how long it takes for power to be restored is dependent on each case. In some cases, power outages may be hard to get to because of flooded roads or downed trees.

If your power is out, make sure you call Dominion Energy (1-866-DOM-HELP or 1-866-366-4357) to let them know. Also, if you see a downed power line, don't go near it and let Dominion know about that too.

The hardest hit part of the state was Southeastern Virginia, where they had nearly 300,000 people without power at one point.
