Chester, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Students at Elizabeth Davis Middle School had to be taken to nearby Elizabeth Scott Elementary this morning, after a threat was called into the school.  Chesterfield Police investigated, and determined the threat to be "not credible."

The Principal at Davis sent out this message to parents:  "Thank you for your support this morning.  I want to sincerely thank our students and staff for their continued focus as Chesterfield Police came to school this morning to investigate a phone call received at our school that was a potential threat to our building.  As we moved all students and staff to Scott ES, Chesterfield Police investigated, searched Davis MS and determined there was not a credible threat.  Chesterfield Police have said that we can return to our building and there will be additional police at school this afternoon and tomorrow just as a precaution.  If you would still like to pickup your child early, you may do so at Davis MS."

As the statement pointed out, there will be additional officers at the school for the rest of the school day and Thursday.
