Richmond, Va.  (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Attorney General's Office says the first charges to come out of the testing if Virginia's rape kit backlog have been filed.  Dyron Williams, Sr., has been charged with carnal knowledge of a 13 to 15 year old.

The kit dated back to 2012.  It was tied to the reported assault of a 14-year old girl at a party.  Williams is now 26.

Williams is currently being held in prison on an unrelated drug conviction.   He was supposed to be released in December.
