Richmond, VA (WRVA) - Former University of Richmond Quarterback Kyle Lauletta, who now plays for the New York Giants, has been arrested for nearly hitting a Police Officer with his vehicle during a traffic incident in New Jersey.

NJ.com is reporting that Lauletta was traveling through Weehawken Tuesday Morning (10/30/18) when he tried to make a right turn from the wrong lane.

A Police Officer was directing traffic at the intersection and signaled Lauletta not to make the turn. Lauletta reportedly disobeyed the officer and made the turn anyway, nearly hitting the police officer with his vehicle. Lauletta was quickly stopped by another officer in a police cruiser.

Cops say Lauletta made the same illegal turn on Monday. Police indicate Lauletta will be issued summons for his actions on both days. With the woeful play of Giants starting QB Eli Manning, many Giants fans (and Spiders fans) were hoping the NFL club would give Lauletta some playing time this weekend.

A spokesperson for the Giants organization says “they are aware of the situation and are gathering details.” 23 Year old Lauletta is a rookie in the NFL, he was drafted by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2018 draft.
