Richmond, Va. ( - A GRTC Pulse bus was burned at Broad and Belvidere, and a police car was torched near Richmond Police Headquarters, in a night of protests over the Minneapolis death of George Floyd.  Floyd died after a Police Officer arrested him by kneeling on his neck for nearly 10 minutes.

Protestors in Richmond also brought up the death of Marcus Peters, an unarmed, naked African-American who was shot and killed as he rushed at an African-American officer along I-95.  The officer in the 2018 incident was cleared.

Capitol Police say Capitol Square will be closed today because of vandalism.  The protestors marched, at one point, from Monroe Park to the Capitol area.

As of 8am, there were no reports of any arrests.
