Hanover, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Hanover's School Board is set to have yet another discussion tonight (virtually) about the names of Lee-Davis High School and Stonewall Jackson Middle School.  The Board voted in 2018 to retain the names, but pressure has been growing with the recent protests.  No new names have been offered at this point.

There was a recent lawsuit by the Hanover NAACP to try and force a change.  However, that case was dismissed, but it now being appealed.

Hanover also plans to discuss its coronavirus reopening plans tonight as well.  Several districts have similar plans, including Richmond and Henrico.  Chesterfield is expected to determine its plans later this month.  Chesterfield did just vote to start the 2021-2022 school year prior to Labor Day.
