Henrico County, VA _  UPDATE:  Henrico Police have identified the suspicious package that kept them at a home off Gaskins Road for hours Friday.

Police say in a statement that the package was a metal toolbox with holes drilled into it, containg toggle switches and a dial.

It's not clear what purpose such an object might serve.  Police rendered it safe, but remained on scene at the address on Tartuffe Drive.

Police say the device was deemed suspicious based upon its appearance.  They had gone to the home with the Henrico Sheriff's Office to serve a paper and spotted the object.

A suspicious package scare caused law enforcement officers to block off Tartuffe Drive off Gaskins Road around Mid-day Friday.

Henrico County Police responded with the Henrico Sheriff's Office to the 9700 block of Tartuffe near the Gayton Point Townhomes to serve a paper.  While on scene, they say a suspicious package was detected.

Henrico Police and Fire Divisions have been working together to evaluate the package.

Police say the incident is isolated to a single residence.
