Henrico Police Investigate Shooting

Two-Year-Old Struck; In Critical Condition

(HENRICO COUNTY, Va.) -- Henrico Police received a call just after 6 Tuesday evening for the report of a firearm violation along the 400 block of Winston Street near Richmond Raceway. As officers arrived, it was apparent that shots had been fired. Police learned that a 2-year-old victim was struck while inside a residence and later transported to a local hospital for treatment by family. The child is in critical condition.

Any shooting is a tragic situation for everyone involved. Detectives continue to investigate the events leading up to this incident.
