Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico County Schools have approved their school calendar for the 2020-2021 school year, and for the first time, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu holiday will be recognized.  The district chose to move professional development days to those days, to allow students to have the day off.

Being recognized are Yom Kippur (9/28/20), Diwali (11/13/20), and Eid (5/13/21).  School will also start after Labor Day, even though Henrico has the ability to start earlier if it so wants.  The district is considering it beyond 2020-2021.

Richmond and Chesterfield have not yet approved their calendars.
