Hopewell, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Officials in Hopewell remaining relatively tight-lipped in the arrest of a person tied to the shooting death of Richmond Fire Lieutenant Ashley Berry.  Berry was shot and killed outside her boyfriend's family's home over Thanksgiving.

Police have a person of interest in custody on unrelated charges, and Hopewell Commonwealth's Attorney Richard Newman says the man is being held on suspended time.  The Police Department says they do not have enough to charge the man, however, so they are not idenifying him.

They are asking for help with additional information.  Berry was protecting her child from gunfire when she was killed.  It is believed the target was actually a near-by house.
