Lyft Driver Arrested For Assault

Accused Of Sex Crimes

Midlothian, Va. (– Chesterfield Police have arrested a suspect, a Lyft driver  in relation to a sexual assault that occurred on Queens Grant Drive during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 3.

At about 9 a.m. on the third, Police say an adult female went to a local hospital and reported that she was sexually assaulted several hours earlier during a ride. Through investigation, detectives identified the driver as Robert W. Sauvager, 51.

On November 6th, police arrested Sauvager, of the 1400 block of Williamsburg Road in Richmond, and charged him with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration. He is currently being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
