Richmond, VA (wrva.com) - In an interview with Fox Sports 910, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney says the Washington Redskins are aware that he wants the $500,000 annual subsidy to the team to end.  Richmond pays the team the amount annually to have them hold training camp here in Richmond.

The Redskins are currently in year six of an eight year deal to have training camp here.  Stoney says he anticipates the team remaining here the final two years.  He also says he views having the training camp here as a benefit to the city.

The deal was negotiated by Stoney's predecessor, former Mayor Dwight Jones.
