Richmond, Va (newsradio wrva.com) - A non-profit has paid off the mortgage for the widow of Hanover firefighter Brad Clark, killed last month as he responded to a crash on I-295 during Michael. The 43 year-old was one of four firefighters injured when a tractor-trailer rear-ended their firetruck, which had it's emergency lights on.

The foundation Tunnel to Towers raised the money for the Clark family. CEO Stephen Siller made a presentation to Melanie Clark at her husband's fire station in Mechanicsville.

Clark says with her home paid for, she has quit her job so she can devote her time to first responder causes. She also plans to fight to make Virginia's Move-Over law tougher.
