Richmond, VA (WRVA) - UPDATE:  Richmond Police say the barricade ended sometime around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.  Officers first went to the scene around 11:15am, after getting reports of a person barricaded in a room.  A broken window was visable from the outside.  Police say they entered the room after the man stopped talking with them.  He was taken into custody safely, and faces a mental health evaluation.  Police also say he will be charged with property damage, as the room had significant damage in it when they entered.

ORIGINAL:  Someone has broken a window at the Omni Hotel in Shockoe Slip and allegedly thrown out a piece of paper with the word “Help” written on it. The broken window is located four floors from the top of the Omni.  Police have put barricades up around the area of North  12th and East Cary, as they deal with what they are calling a "mental health crises" as they try to convince the room's occupant to come out of the room.  Roads in the area are blocked off.
