May 15, 2019 - 4:33 pm

Richmond, Va. ( - Richmond Animal Care and Control are  looking for information that can help them solve the shooting death of a female pitbull.  The dog was found shot dead on the track at MLK Middle School early Monday morning.

RACC Director Christie Chipps Peters says they do not have any suspects.  The dog was not tagged or microchipped.  They are asking anyone who may have heard a gunshot in the area, or are missing a black and white pitbull, to come forward.

In February, a dog named Tommie was tied to a pole in Abner Clay Park and set on fire.  The dog died days later.  There have been no arrests in that case either.
