Richmond Changes School Name

From JEB Stuart To Barack Obama

Richmond, Va. (1140wrva.com) Richmond's School Board voted 6-1 to drop the name of a Confederate war hero and instead name the school for the first black President. Board member Kenya Gibson vote against changing the name from J.E.B. Stuart Elementary to Barack Obama Elementary School. She wanted more local names to be considered. No word on when the name change will happen. It's expected to cost about $26,000.
