Richmond, Va. ( - The Richmond Flying Squirrels have unveiled a new videobaord, as well as their promotional schedule, ahead of their tenth season here in Richmond.  The team will also be hosting the Double-A All-Star game this summer.

Team officials say the videoboard will allow for greater interaction with the fans, as well as greater use within the game.  Chief Operating Officer Todd Parnell says it brings the Diamond in line with amenities that many minor league ballparks already have.  Parnell also says it shows the team's willingness to invest in Richmond, even as discussions over a new stadium stop and start.

The team plans to look back at the it's time in Richmond by highlighting some of it's previous memorable players, as well as some its previous memorable promotions.    The team also plans to have a one-off jersey (one of several) where it will rename the "Hush Puppies," one of several names the team considered taking back in 2009.
