Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Richmond Health District says they are seeing an increase in both Covid cases, and in hospitalizations, and are asking Richmonders to step up social distancing and mask wearing to stop a possible surge. Deputy Director Dr. Melissa Viray says the increase is tied not only to health care facilities, but also weddings, schools, and restaurants.
Viray says not getting it under control could lead to a surge around the region. She says the increase isn't just limited to the city proper, but elsewhere in the area as well.
Viray says people need to remain vigilant about doing the things necessary to stop Covid spread.
