Richmond, VA (Newsradio 1140wrva.com) -- Organizers are expecting hundreds to attend a vigil in Richmond Tuesday night to honor the 11 people killed in a mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh Saturday.  The interfaith service at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center at 5403 Monument Ave begins at 7 pm.

Tuesday's memorial in Richmond comes on the same day as the first funerals begin in Pittsburgh.  Services for brothers Cecil and David Rosenthal, Dr. David Rabinowitz and Daniel Stein are scheduled.  They were among the eight men and three women killed, and six people wounded by a gunman at the Tree of Life synagogue.  The shooter surrendered to police after he was wounded following a nearly hour long gun battle.

Pittsburgh remains divided about President Trump's visit.  Some say he has incited violence with his rhetoric while others are concerned protests against Trump will distract from the memorials.
