Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -  VDOT says approximately 180 roads are closed in the Richmond district, which stretches from Hanover all the way to the North Carolina line.   Mecklenburg and Lunenburg counties were especially hard hit; both saw issues following Hurricane Florence a few weeks ago.

VDOT Spokesman Bob Spieldenner says in some cases, roads may be closed for some time.  Because roads, in some cases, are still covered, Spieldenner says they cannot be sure of the damage.

VDOT has dealt with numerous road closures this year because of heavy rains.
