Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - NBC12.com Meteorologist Nick Russo is recommending voters vote in the morning, if they are looking to avoid storms at the polls.  Russo says a strong cold front is expected to trigger strong to severe storms Election Day afternoon.

Russo says those storms should arrive some time between noon and 5pm.  He says it will not storm the entire time, but will occur as a line of storms moves through the area.

Russo says the greatest risk will be gusty winds, with a small outside shot at a tornado.   The weather should clear by the time the polls close.
