VDEM Focusing On SW Va.

Storm Eventually Heading That Direction

Richmond, Va. (newsradiowrva.com) -  Virginia emergency managers continue to express concern about the potential for inland flooding from Hurricane Florence.  The storm is forecasted, after dropping epic rains on North Carolina, to turn north, and move through southwest Virginia.

A track like that would mean epic rains for an area that has, like much of the Commonwealth, received large amounts of rain this year.  Both VDEM and FEMA have flooding concerns, and are asking people to be on the lookout for floodwaters.

VDEM also says as it can free resources, it will provide help to North and South Carolina.
