Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chestefield Police say approximately $250,000 in damage has been done to the old Reams Road Elementary School.  The school was vacant, and set to be demolished, but still had fixtures and equipment inside that was going to be repurposed in the new building.

Police believe the vandalism took place between September 19th and September 23rd.  The school is located in a neighborhood so they are hoping someone may have seen or heard something.  Damage was done to windows, toilets, sinks, tiles, and water fountains.

Reams students are currently attending school at a temporary location on the campus of A.M. Davis Elementary school.
