Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - VDOT's Richmond District says it has $19 million set aside to handle snow in the region this year. The amount is three million above last year's budget. The number is determined by averaging the last three to five years of snow removal spending.

The agency also has 61,000 tons of salt and 24,000 tons of sand. Residents will be able to track plows as well.
VDOT has budgeted over $205 million statewide.
