VDOT says most roads in "minor" condition

Concerned About Refreezing Overnight

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - VDOT says most roads this (Monday) afternoon are in what is considered to be "minor" condition.  Minor condition means there may be patches of ice or slush on the road.

The agency warns drivers to be careful overnight and tomorrow morning, as they expect some refreezing to occur.  Roads crews are treating the roads this afternoon to prevent that as much as possible.

VDOT Spokeswoman Bethanie Glover says the most difficult areas have been to the north and west of the Richmond district.  Those areas saw the most snow and freezing precipitation.
