Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -  Joe Biden and Senator Mark Warner scored early wins in Virginia on Election Night, according to the Associated Press.  The quick calls showing, according to Virginia Political Analyst Quentin Kidd, that Virginia's days as a swing state are over.

Kidd says Virginia Republicans are going to need to figure out how to peel off and return suburban voters, especially suburban women, to their side.  Kidd says the fact the Richmond suburbs are trending bluer are a big problem for the GOP.

Warner, in his victory speech, already began focusing on a return to Washington, stressing the need for another Covid relief package.  He also called it an incredibly unusual election, given the Covid pandemic.

Congressman Rob Wittman (R), whose district includes Hanover, won re-election.  Democratic Candidate Cameron Webb also reportedly conceded to Republican Bob Good in the central-western Fifth Congressional District.
