Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -  Richmond could receive one to two inches of rain Thursday with a storm which may bring some wintry precipitation to areas north and west of the city.  NBC12 Meteorologist Andrew Freiden says the greatest risk for wintry precipitation will likely be in areas like Buckingham, Fluvanna and Louisa counties.  Spotsylvania County could also see freezing rain or sleet.

Freiden says there may be a little sleet in Richmond, but it will quickly change to rain.  The areas to the west will also see the precipitation change to rain around nine Thursday morning.

The storm eventually leaves Thursday evening.  Because the rain will be heavy at times, there is expected to be flooding along creeks and poor drainage areas.
