Cumberland, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Police hope to learn at some point today in remains found in Mecklenburg County Thursday morning are those of Amy Fabian.  Fabian, 43, has been missing since last Friday.  The remains were found by a truck believed to have been stolen by Fabian's ex-boyfriend, George Knisley IV, of Maryland.

State Police concentrated their search for Fabian in South Hill and Mecklenburg County because it is there, last Friday morning, that they believe the ex-boyfriend, Knisley, carjacked a woman.  The carjacking occurred on foot, which led police to believe that the truck Knisley allegedly stole earlier, at least, needed to be in that general area.  The woman in the carjacking was not injured.

Knisley was eventually captured in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a chase.  Police have recovered the carjacked vehicle.  Knisley is being held on a murder charge in Cumberland County.  The man killed in Cumberland has been identified as Matthew Broyles, 29, of Powhatan.  Broyles was found dead in Fabian's home.  Other charges are likely both in South Hill and Raleigh.

Wake county Sheriff's Deputies also say Knisley excaped their custody for a short time during a trasnfer on Tuesday.  He was quickly re-captured with the help of a near-by man.
