School Tries Again

Ricmnod, VA (WRVA) - Richmond’s Thomas Jefferson High School will try again this Saturday morning to hold their graduation ceremony. The school tried Wednesday night but the event was shut down due to a threat that someone, possibly a disgruntled former student, was going to shoot people. A search of the Altria Theater did not yield a firearm.

The school posted a statement on their Facebook page about today’s rescheduled graduation.  The school says there will be an increased in security and law enforcement personnel at today’s event. Students will not be allowed to enter the Altria Theater in their cap and gown; they must wait until they are inside the facility to put them on. All attendees, graduates and spectators, will be limited to only clutch sized purses. The graduation event starts at 10 a.m. the doors to the Latria Theater open at 9 a.m.
