Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - UPDATE:  Richmond Police now say there was a third stabbing victim as well.  The third victim, a woman, drove herself to the hospital.  All three victims are expected to survive.  The officers who shot the suspect have been placed on administrative leave.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Richmond Police Chief Alfred Durham says officers shot and killed a suspect this morning on West Cary Street near Meadow St.  The shooting occurred after officers were originally called to the home for a burglary, around 11 am.

Durham says when officers entered the home, they found a woman who had been stabbed, and a man holding a knife.  Police shot the man, according to Durham, after multiple demands to drop the weapon.

After the shooting, officers found another man in the home who had also been stabbed.  The two victims are currently in surgery at the hospital.
