If you've ever seen a Quentin Tarantino movie, you pretty much know what to expect. Over-the-top bloody violence and just about every curse word in the book mixed in with plenty of crude humor, among other things.

Now, Tarantino has been linked to a new Star Trek project. Historically, Gene Roddenberry's popular sci-fi series has been mostly devoid of profanity. But if the rumors are true, Star Trek fans may be in for a little culture shock.

In the upcoming new issue of Empire, Tarantino confirmed that his new frontier for Star Trek will be swear-laden and that it will be R-rated if he directs.

“It’s an R-rated movie,” he said. “If I do it, it’ll be R-rated.”

Speaking on where it stands now in the filmmaking process, Tarantino said, “There’s a script that exists for it now. I need to weigh in on it, but I haven’t been able to do that yet.”
