Beto: I Will Take Your Guns Away And Give Free Tampons To Men
It's no secret that Robert Francis O'Rourke wants to take your guns away, but now he's chosen a very ... odd cause to get behind.
In recognition of National Period Day (which, yes, is somehow a thing), O'Rourke channeled his inner woman and decried the notion that in prisons, "women across America don’t have access to the period products they need." He called on all men to "join women in demanding real change" and declared his support for the Menstrual Equity Act (yep, also a real thing).
In detention centers and in prisons, in big cities and small towns, women across America don’t have access to the period products they need. On #NationalPeriodDay, men need to join women in demanding real change—which is why I’m supporting the Menstrual Equity Act.

H.R. 1882, or the Menstrual Equity For All Act of 2019, is a bill that would "increase the availability and affordability of menstrual hygiene products for individuals with limited access, and for other purposes," according to GovTrack. Did you catch that? Individuals. Not just women, individuals. "Individuals" who apparently do not have access to a pharmacy or a supermarket.
So good news guys! Now you too will have access to tampons and other period products when "that time of the month" rolls around for you.
