New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has instructed the NYPD to arrest mourners at funerals and anyone gathering in large crowds as part of his new "zero tolerance" policy to stop the spread of the Chinese coronavirus.

De Blasio showed up at an Orthodox Jewish funeral in Williamsburg on Tuesday and threatened to arrest those in attendance for violating social distancing rules. He made the trek across the city after several photos surfaced on social media of hundreds gathered to honor Rabbi Chaim Mertz, who died from coronavirus.

The NYC mayor then took to Twitter to bash the mourners - who were seen standing much closer than six feet from each other, many without masks - calling their actions "absolutely unacceptable."
