While the mainstream media has bent over backwards to tell you that protests have been "mostly peaceful" inside Seattle's "Capitol Hill Occupied Protest" (CHOP), over the weekend, two people were shot and killed and another was critically injured in an incident inside the "peaceful" zone. Two of the victims were black.

Though they will lecture you day after day about race and horrible racist police who are targeting and slaughtering black people, neither CBS nor NBC gave the shootings any airtime during their nightly news programs.

ABC "World News Tonight" was the only network that offered any coverage of the killings, but only for one night on Sunday. By Monday, the incident was an afterthought. "World News Tonight" was also the only news program to cover the unbelievable number of shootings over the weekend in Chicago, one of which killed a three-year-old boy.

On Sunday, anchor Whit Johnson said of the shooting inside CHOP, "A 19-year-old killed inside that roughly six-block area. Seized by police – protesters that is, and authorities say protesters prevented them from getting to the crime scene and the victim."

Of course, Johnson did neglect to mention the victim's race, because apparently that's only relevant when the victim is shot by a police officer.
