Patrick Gallagher joins Jeff to tell the story of his niece, Cameron K. Gallagher, who inspired the creation of the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation - which seeks to help raise awareness of teen mental health and combat stigmas.

Cameron, who battled depression and anxiety herself, died in 2014 at the age of 16 from an undiagnosed heart condition moments after finishing a half marathon. Before she passed away, she was in the process of fulfilling her dream of planning a 5K race within her community that would raise awareness of teenage depression. She called the race the SpeakUp5K.

This year's SpeakUp5K will be on Sept. 12. Due to the coronavirus, the race will be run "virtually."
