Anarchy and chaos erupted in at least 145 cities across the U.S. over the weekend as protests against the death of George Floyd turned violent many places and left carnage in their wake.

More than 4,100 people have reportedly been arrested this weekend alone and the National Guard has been dispatched to 15 different states and Washington, DC, according to the Daily Mail.

More than 50 Secret Service agents were injured in confrontations with protesters near the White House. Police in DC fired tear gas and stun grenades outside the White House on Sunday night after protesters set fire to historic St. John's Episcopal Church and Lafayette Park in front of the White House.

In New York City, looters vandalized and robbed high-end stores such as Gucci and Chanel, while rioters threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police officers in Philadelphia.
