A federal appeals court ruled Thursday that President Trump's rule that ends taxpayer funding to abortion clinics such as Planned Parenthood can stand.

The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the Trump administration's request to lift injuctions ordered in Washington, Oregon and California, according to Politico

While court cases continue, the Protect Life Rule may take effect.

In February, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposed a new rule that would block $60 million in taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. The new regulation prohibits the use of funds to "perform, promote, refer for, or support abortion as a method of family planning."
