On the final day of the president's impeachment trial before the decision on Wednesday, Democrats and "real" reporters (though we repeat ourselves) were firing on all cylinders, pushing conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory.

This, of course, included Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) getting in one last punch by claiming that if President Trump isn't removed from office, he might sell Alaska back to Russia in exchange for help in the 2020 election.

Schiff said,  "(President Trump) could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago permanently and leave Jared Kushner to run the country, delegating to him the decision whether they go to war."

Not surprisingly, the network news outlets hopped aboard the hype train and called it Schiff's "warning" to Republicans about acquitting President Trump.
